Bio

Hi, my name is Tatiane da Silva and I’m a visual artist. I was born and raised in southern Brazil. At the moment, I’m living in Bromley in the UK, with my husband and our two cute cats.

As a child, I always knew that I would do something related to the arts, I loved to draw and of course, I loved the art classes at school. After a while I resumed this magical feeling, this time at the university.

My artist career started while studying Fashion Design at university, period in which I worked as a textile designer and graphic designer until I fell in love with visual arts.

As the founder of TAS Studio, in 2014, I entered in the wonderful Digital Art market with the Brazilian Art Gallery Urban Arts, a modern and innovative gallery that has stores all over Brazil.

Currently, in addition to Urban Arts and Galeria9, both from Brazil, I also have my arts displayed in online art galleries, such as Society6(USA) and ArtboxONE (Germany) .

Artist’s Statement

I love experimenting with textures in collages and digital overlays. My compositions are created spontaneously and I especially like the way the female characters and nature connect and create harmony with each other. The digital universe gives us many creative possibilities to bring together several different elements very quickly. Being able to recreate new situations with these elements with surreal and dreamlike duality, fascinates me. It is at this moment that I can find a way to express my feelings, to express who I am.

Music is a great companion at the time of creation, I can also include in this list, the places I lived and the various places I had the opportunity to visit. The variety of visual inspiration that I find in nature, allows me to convey many of my feelings in my creations, which is why it really is my favorite work theme.
