Misha Safron is a Russian-born visual artist currently residing in NYC. He specializes in vibrant digital portraits, photo-realistic pencil drawings, and gold leaf gilding.

I've been working on the Enchanted Series since the early spring of 2020. It’s safe to say that these art pieces were born in the time of uncertainty and despair, right at the height of the global pandemic when everyone including myself needed a little bit more joy and beauty in their lives. So I created a collection of digital paintings defined by exciting colors, unusual jewelry and the characters' enchanted eyes. Available as high quality prints and NFTs.

What is one thing you'd like our readers to know about you?

I moved from Russia to the U.S. with one suitcase and $500 in my pocket leaving all my friends and family behind.

What is your biggest source of inspiration?

Mythology (particularly Greek and Norse) and my Instagram friends.

Why do you create and how has your art practice affected your life?

I believe art is my destiny, that's why I can't stop creating. I want to push my art career further and do it full time. How it affects my life? Well, I'm the most creative at night when all the noise calms down, so I stay up pretty late to create. Sometimes I have to choose between sleeping and working on my art projects.
