I am deeply drawn to succulents. I love their character and plant personalities. The abundant varieties of texture, color, shape, and how succulents change with the seasons. I celebrate plant diversity. How succulents share space, lean on each other, and hold each other up. When I am caring for my plants, or appreciating plants in nature I find that space and time to be sacred. As I nurture them, they nurture me. Succulents are very colorful and expressive in nature. I recognize the plant power and the effect that the plants have on me. My wish is that the viewer takes a moment to be present with the plants through my paintings and develops a deeper appreciation for nature. I want the viewer to travel in their minds to a place of peace, balance, beauty, and comfort through connecting with my artwork and the natural world. I aim to bring the viewer in to offer a new perspective and share my intimate viewpoint of succulents through my art.
