Statement

Painting means freedom for me. Growing up in Israel in a Jewish family involved endless restrictions and rules, including not being allowed to paint. Ignoring the craving to paint for a long portion of my life, I finally re-discovered painting after becoming a mum. I paint because it allows me to discover and reconnect with who I really am, rather than who I was told I am for most of my life.

My work, materials and process are pure reflections of growing up next to the Mediterranean Sea, and my life today living near the Atlantic Ocean. Free flow of colours, soft borderlines, many layers and assertive strokes are achieved using watered down acrylic paint, acrylic ink, and both conventional and unconventional tools which I find in nature mostly. My process does not have any rules and allows a free connection with my soul, my past and my present.
