I capture the essence of things and embrace duality in subjects, creating figurative pieces in the most base shapes.

Jillian Elliott (b. 1990) is a queer Midwestern figurative painter exploring the intersection of pleasure and pain in life with bright, saturated colors. She creates empowering abstract pieces that celebrate our bodies, the foods that nourish them, and the places they take us in a style she describes as pop art meets Matisse. Their work and color palettes are heavily influenced by a career as a wedding florist in Brooklyn and traveling the globe seeking out new colors and light to fall in love with.

Supporting the local makers economy is very important to her so any reproductions of original work are produced with other small business, typically local, partners on the highest quality archival materials.
