IMAGINARY NARRATIVES, an art exhibition by Ellen Holleman
ZALTBOMMEL, the Netherlands – Ellen Holleman is pleased to announce a solo art exhibition in the cultural centre De Poorterij in Zaltbommel, Netherlands.
The exhibition shows a collection of paintings and mixed media works inspired by contemporary daily life. Ellen Holleman is a painter and mixed-media visual artist with an eye for quotidian, urban scenes. Using oil painting techniques of the old Dutch Masters she builds her images with many layers of transparent colours to recreate these scenes in contemporary artworks that reflect relatable, yet imaginary narratives.
De Poorterij is a cultural centre located on the fortress canal in the center of the historic town of Zaltbommel. The exhibition will be on display in the centre’s foyer until the 10th of October. Access to the exhibit is free during weekly office hours, in the evenings and at weekends only for visitors of performances in the building.
